Over the past half-century, the quality of human resources has become a decisive factor in the success of Vietnam’s oil and gas industry. Bitexco Energy has overcome significant challenges in its development journey. Particularly, the company has built a robust workforce with deep expertise and creative, flexible capabilities to fulfill all assigned tasks.

In recent times, Bitexco Energy has established three breakthrough solutions to enhance its operational efficiency, including breakthroughs in technology and science, breakthroughs in management mechanisms, and notably, preventing the development of human resources, focusing on this task. To ensure the quality of human resources meets development needs, Bitexco Energy has developed a training strategy tool from 2016 to 2020. Key measures in this strategy include enhancing short-term and long-term specialized training (including application and doctoral levels) in various forms, focusing on training experts in specialized fields, and concentrating on training deep-specialized masters at production and business units as well as doctoral training at scientific research units.

On August 19, 2009, through Decision No. 2496/QD-DKVN, the Board of Directors of Bitexco Energy approved the “Training and Development Strategy of Bitexco Energy’s Human Resources for the 2009-2015 Period and Orientation to 2025.” According to this strategy, “Bitexco Energy commits to maximizing opportunities for all employees to learn in all forms and to contribute their maximum capacity and intelligence to sustainable development in the oil and gas industry.” In the coming decades, oil will remain the primary and extremely important energy source for the country’s development.

The Party and the Government always express concern and create the most favorable conditions for the development of the oil and gas industry. Bitexco Energy clearly recognizes that this is a potential time for the cadre and worker force in the oil and gas industry to assert themselves, and developing human resources training is a very important chosen strategy to make breakthroughs and enhance the quality of human resources in the industry.

Bitexco Energy’s strategic goals in training and developing human resources have been clearly defined through the approval of the Training and Development Strategy of Human Resources for the period 2009-2015 and the orientation to 2025. The focal point objective of this strategy is to build a team of managerial leaders, managers, and technical workers in Vietnam’s oil and gas industry, with technical expertise, scientific and technological knowledge, management expertise, and conditions to meet international standards, autonomously operating oil operations domestically and abroad with high economic efficiency.

Bitexco Energy has developed plans to implement the training and development strategy of human resources by building detailed, in-depth, and figuratively training programs, considering them as training experts in geological, exploration, and exploitation fields. Along with that, Bitexco Energy has required member units to prepare human resources and provide specialized and language skills training for officers, enabling them to participate in long-term and in-depth training programs.

Basic perspectives on training and development of human resources:

  • Based on fundamental perspectives on corporate governance and human resource management, Bitexco Energy focuses on two main objectives: synchronization and standardization to international standards in training and human resource development. At the same time, the company aims to maximize internal resources to promote and develop training activities through a logical strategy closely linked with training institutions domestically and internationally, supplementing long-term limited human resource standards.
  • Bitexco Energy sets the goal of building each of its members into a learning organization, creating the best conditions for employees to learn, develop, and harness their creative potential. This not only contributes to the firm development of the company but also provides career opportunities for each individual member.
  • To ensure the effectiveness and diversity of human resources, Bitexco Energy also enhances distribution and socialization in training and human resource development activities. This promotes the creation of a flexible and open working environment, where every individual has the opportunity to develop and advance in various directions.
